YOUR PIX: Seven hills and many splendid lake views

Rome coined the term first, but Port Washington has also been called “the city of seven hills.” The Italian city’s hills may be more famous, but Port has something to go with its hills that Rome cannot claim—an inland sea at its doorstep. The combination of Lake Michigan and the hilly terrain of Port’s city center yields splendid views. This one, of the glow of a rising sun under a layer of stratocumulus clouds, was phtographed by Burt Babcock from his home on one of the seven hills.
