Workshop aims to increase movement
“Stand Up and Move More,” an eight-week workshop aimed at getting older adults to incorporate movement in their lives, will be held from March 31 through May 19 in Port Washington.
The program is designed for people ages 55 and older who sit more than six hours a day. They will learn in a group with peers and help each other identify strategies to stand more often and for longer periods.
Classes will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. March 31, April 6, 14 and 21 and May 19 in room 323 of the Ozaukee County Administration Center, 121 W. Main St., Port Washington.
