"Wisconsin's Freshwater is Getting Salty"

"Wisconsin's Freshwater is Getting Salty," a Badger Talk with Linnea Rock, will be held online at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21. The W.J. Niederkorn Library will host the talk by Rock, a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate student who will discusses the environmental consequences of road salt usage on our freshwater lakes. The presentation explores the long-term chloride trends and the state of our lakes in Wisconsin with regard to chloride contamination. It also identifies the lakes that are at risk and examines what is currently being done locally in Wisconsin to curtail further environmental damage. Register for the Zoom event at bit.ly/2K8y0ew.
