Welcoming new deputies, bidding another farewell

Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles (left in both photos) last week welcomed three new officers to the department and honored one longtime deputy who is retiring. Posing with the sheriff shortly after being sworn in were (from left in photo above) patrol division deputy Tyler Schleg, jail division deputy Dominic Palmisano and special deputy James Organ, who is assigned to the court security unit. Knowles also presented a plaque and card signed by members of the Sheriff’s Office to deputy Stanley Griffin (inset photo), who recently retired from the jail division after 27 years on the force. The picture she held was of Griffin when he joined the department. Photos by Sam Arendt
