Walls not seeking return to Grafton School Board

The Grafton School Board has three seats up for election in April and will get at least one new member.

The seats of Robert Mallon, Steve Nauta and Carrie Walls are to be filled.

Walls has already filed a notice of noncandidacy.

For anyone wishing to run for the board, a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the School District Office, 1900 Washington St. Business hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The office will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 2.

If more than six candidates run, a primary election with the top six advancing will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
