Volunteers sought to help Habitat this fall

Habitat for Humanity Ozaukee is seeking volunteers for several fall activities.

Thirty volunteers are being sought to help inventory donated items beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

Ace Hardware has donated the items, which will be sorted and cataloged beginning at 9 a.m. in the store’s parking lot.

If a volunteer needs to sit while working, they should bring a chair.

The rain date will be Oct. 8.

Volunteers are also needed for a variety of tasks in preparation for Habitat’s Nov. 12 Fair and Flair Gala.

Volunteers are needed to gather auction donations, assemble auction packages, set up the online auction, set up posters throughout the county and to help set up the gala on Nov. 11 and 12.

People may also help at the gala, where volunteers will be needed to welcome guests, check them in, serve food, supervise the auction room, manage the wine pull and Plunko games, assist with the auction pick-up and clean-up after the event.

Habitat is also seeking help with the Grafton holiday parade. It needs volunteers to help build its float and to walk with the float and hand out candy during the Nov. 26 parade.
