Village response includes closing buildings, limiting services

In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, Saukville village government has taken a number of steps to reduce face-to-face exposure in municipal buildings and programs.

• Saukville Village Hall will be closed to the public except for absentee voting and voter registration.

Photo ID is required for absentee voting, and proof of address is required for voter registration.

Water bills and other envelopes can be placed in a drop box to the right of the front door at Village Hall. The box will be checked daily.

Residents are encouraged to call Village Hall at 284-9423 with questions.

• Oscar Grady Library remains closed.

• The Saukville Police Department has suspended its salvage-vehicle inspection services until at least April 6.

• The Department of Public Works facility is closed to the public and vendors. Services have not been interrupted.

• Building inspection services are limited to new one and two-family construction, commercial, industrial and life safety inspections.

Building-permit applications are available on the village’s website or in the vestibule at Grafton Village Hall. Call 375-5305 with questions on remodeling projects or to schedule appointments.

• Advanced Disposal will not collect trash or recycling not placed in carts. All bulky item pick-up is suspended until further notice.
