Toni S. Trier

Toni S. Trier of Port Washington, Wis., was born to life to Lloyd and Katherine Sauer on Feb. 13, 1939. She was born to eternal life and received into God’s loving arms on Dec. 24, 2020, at the age of 81.

Toni deeply loved her family, friends and most of all the Lord. Her faith was of utmost importance to her. She lived it and walked it every day, touching many lives along the way.

Toni went to St. Monica’s Grade School, Divine Savior High School in Milwaukee and the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she met her husband of 23 years, Buzz Trier. Settling in Mequon, Wis., they raised five children, Tadd, Tim, Terry, Tom and Katie.

Toni had many talents and hobbies. One of her greatest was horseback riding.  She loved horses starting quite young and competed with the support of her father in English horseback riding. Anything to be with horses!

While raising a family, she developed her love for gardening and flowers. She ran her own business, Flowers by Toni, for a period of time, providing landscaping, specifically for flowerbeds. She truly had a green thumb!

Toni was a member of Portview Church for many years, where she developed many wonderful friendships in Christ. She loved to serve by helping with the weekly counts, landscaping and cleaning, but particularly by hosting prayer groups and praying for others.

After raising her family, Toni ventured to California, then returned to settle in Port Washington, Wis., to be close to her family.  She loved her family!

Toni is survived by her children Tim (Dee) Trier, Terry (Lupe) Trier, Tom (Vernon) Trier and Katie Critz.  She was Nana to Emily (Sam), Marly, Frank (Lucy), Katie, Matthew, Alysha (Adam), Hayley and Dylan and great-grandma to Jaxon.

She is further survived by her daughter-in-law Brenda Trier, siblings Tim (Kathy) Sauer, Jackie Mueller, Scott (Kathe) Sauer and Johanne (Phil) Cacciatore, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents husband Buzz Trier and son Tadd Trier.

She will be truly missed by all.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the family.
