Susan Medinger

 

Susan J. “Sue” Medinger, age 65 of Oostburg, Wis., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at Rocky Knoll Health Center in Plymouth,Wis.  

Sue was a resident of Rocky Knoll for the last five years.

Sue was born on Mar. 15, 1955, in Stevens Point, to Kenneth W. and Joan A. Penney Bradway.

The family moved to Port Washington in 1963. Sue was a 1973 graduate of Port Washington High School.

 On July 7, 1979, she married Michael P. “Mike” Medinger of Port Washington, Wis. They lived in Port until 1992, when they bought their home in Oostburg, Wis.

 Sue was a member of the Port Washington High School band, where she played clarinet. She was very active and remained friends with her “circle” even after everyone had moved on from Port Washington. She may be remembered by co-workers from Port Dry Cleaners or McDonald’s, where she was employed during her time in Port Washington.

After moving to Oostburg, Sue was employed for over 15 years by Schneider Cheese in Waldo, Wis.

Sue is survived by her husband Mike, their son Justin Medinger of Belgium, Wis., and Mike’s son David (Steph) Medinger of Milwaukee, Wis., her grandchildren Aidan and Devyn, her sister Cathy (David) Brown of Fredonia, Wis., and nephews Nick, Adam, and Allen Brown, sister-in-law Sandy (Lynus) Lepak of Belgium, Wis., and nephews Brian and Kevin Lorge, Jackie (the late Glenn) Kaltenbrun of Port Washington, Wis., niece Jennifer and nephew Andrew Kaltenbrun and Barb (Joe) Neal of Belgium, Wis., and niece Melysa Neal, along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 , at Poole Funeral Home, 203 N. Wisconsin St. in Port Washington.

The family will receive guests after 4 p.m. prior to the service at 6 p.m.

 Everyone who knew Sue knew her love of animals. Donations to a local Humane Society in her honor would be appreciated.
