Susan K. Scholl

Susan Kay (Bathke) Scholl, a former resident of Port Washington, went home to heaven on Nov. 8, 2025, at the age of 81 in Huntington Beach, Calif., due to complications from heart failure.

Susan (aka Sue or Suzie) was born in Farragut, Idaho, on Aug. 15, 1944, to her parents Orville and Shirley Bathke while her dad served in the Navy. The family soon moved to Port Washington, which became their hometown.

Susan married Wayne Scholl of Belgium, who graduated from West Point and served in the Army for 30 years. She lived her life centered on family, friends and faith. 

She is survived by her son Brian Scholl, daughter Jennifer Scholl Cassity (married to Mike Cassity) and her beloved grandchildren Emma and Kaden.

Her memorial and celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at First Congregational Church, 131 N. Webster St., Port Washington, WI 53074, from noon to 1 p.m. (with lunch to follow). Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon.
