Students, Lions team up to make the season brighter for seniors

Before they celebrated the holidays with their families, fourth-graders at Ozaukee Elementary School helped to make sure the season was a little brighter for others by making 140 cards that were sent by the Fredonia Lions Club to senior citizens who are single and living in the Fredonia area. Participating in the project were (front row, from left) Logan Mayer, Elymas Nichols, Hunter Kowalkowski, Jaxson Schreurs, Brantley Prom, Johnathan Franck, Frankie Marini, Ava Schroeder, Luke Weyker, (back row) teacher Sara Zimdars, Grayson Mayer, Sophie Nelsen, Parker Zavada, Jonny Hunkins, Harrison Coyle, Brynn Gehrke, Ketryn Rakher and Lions Club members Lud Miller and Ron Theisen, who watched as Gehrke (right) put the finishing touches on her card.
