Singer/Songwriter concert set for March 9
Patty Stevenson and Craig Siemsen will perform a Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Unitarian Church North in Mequon. Stevenson and Siemsen are known for their harmonies, musicianship, stage humor and original songs.
They met in the mid-1980s while performing at a folk music festival. For many years, the couple maintained solo careers, but eventually they agreed to perform one show as a duo — something they continue to do today.
The couple create and record original songs as well as their own variations on classics.
Their work includes solo recordings, guest appearances on others’ CDs, and, most recently, the CD “Paint Me a Picture,” which has received airplay around the world and been noted on the folk DJ charts.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $24 at the door, with student tickets set at $12.
Discounts of $1 per donated food item to a maximum $4 will be given at the door.
Tickets may be purchased at North Shore Bank in Grafton and Mequon and Vines to Cellar in Port Washington.
Doors to the church at 13800 N. Port Washington Rd. open at 7 p.m.
