The Grafton School Board on Monday unanimously elected Paul Lorge to be its president after serving on the board for 16 years.        “I appreciate the confidence that the board has in me,” Lorge said, noting he has big shoes to fill because longtime School Board President Terry Ziegler stepped down by not seeking re-election.

“I look forward to working closely with this board and administration to continue to bring about the best results for this district.”

Lorge was previously the treasurer for the board and said he decided to run for a seat in 2002 because he had four children enrolled in the Grafton School District.

During the board meeting, members also elected Carrie Walls as vice president, Mark Koehler as treasurer and new member Jon Scolman as a CESA 1 representative.
