Saukville candidates to begin circulating nomination papers Dec. 1

Candidates for political offices in Saukville can begin circulating petitions on Dec. 1 to run in the spring 2021 election.

Several seats will be on the ballot on April 6 in the Town and Village of Saukville.

In the village, seats held by President Barb Dickmann and trustees David Maglio, Richard Belling and Andy Hebein will be filled in the election.

In the Town of Saukville, seats held by Chairman Don Hamm and supervisors Curt Rutkowski and Mike Denzien will be on the ballot.

In the Village of Newburg, President Dave DeLuka and trustees Amy Marquardt, Sandy Stockhausen and Bill Sackett are up for re-election.

All seats are for two-year terms.

Completed nomination papers are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. If a primary is necessary, it will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16. 

Incumbents must file a notice of non-candidacy by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day, according to the Wisconsin Elections Commission calendar. 

If they don’t, the filing deadline for other candidates will be extended three days to  5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8.
