Rosemary L. Nett

Rosemary L. Nett of Port Washington passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemary was born in Port Washington on Dec. 11, 1946, to Roman and Elinor (Stern) Volesky.

She completed grade school at Immaculate Conception Parish School in Saukville. She graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1964 and furthered her education at Spencerian College in Milwaukee, earning an associate of arts degree in the school’s executive secretarial program.

On Oct. 13, 1973, Rosemary was united in marriage with Ronald Nett at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They settled in Port Washington and started their family.

Rosemary started her career with Ozaukee County working for Harold Dobberpuhl in the County Clerk’s Office. She was then hired by Port Washington High School and worked for the principal as his executive secretary. Following this, she worked for John W. Siler and Associates, an executive recruiting firm in Whitefish Bay. She finished her career at Rexnord Corp. in Grafton as an executive assistant to the general manager, retiring after 28 years of dedicated service.

She treasured watching her grandchildren grow and attending their sports events. She loved family get-togethers for special occasions and holidays. She enjoyed going out for an occasional meal and welcomed quiet nature walks.

Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her cherished  family: Ron, her loving husband of 52 years; daughter Ellen (Andrew) Jarr and their three children, Lauren, Clara and William; and daughter Kristin (Brent) Balzer and their children Emma and Henry.

She is further survived by brothers George and Ronald Volesky of Fredonia and Donald (Lina) and David Volesky of Port Washington and brother-in-law Ken (Martha) Nett of Belgium, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roman and Elinor Volesky and brothers Daniel and Richard Volesky.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at St. John XXIlI Catholic Parish, St. Mary’s Church, Port Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. Father Patrick Wendt will be the celebrant.

Rosemary will be laid to rest the following day at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Food Pantry Inc. in Port Washington.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
