Roadwork is nearly done

Blacktop is expected to be laid on Thursday near the railroad crossing as part of the Main Street reconstruction project in Belgium, Director of Public Works Dan Birenbaum said.

After that, landscape work and the installation of street signs will start. Two streetlights also need to be installed.

Traffic is encouraged to take the detour route from Highway LL south to Highway A, then to Highway 57  and back to Highway D.

The project’s completion date is Nov. 12.
