Registrations taken for ‘Madagascar’

Auditions are being taken for Port Washington Youth Theatre’s presentation of “Madagascar.”

Auditions are for students in grades three to six  and will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 18 and 19.

Those hoping to audition must register online ahead of time at https://tinyurl.com/bdetvf5s.

Registration, which costs $200 for Port Washington-Saukville School District residents and $250 for nonresidents, includes an educational theater program, student script, costume and commemorative show T-shirt.

As many as 20 first and second grade  students and 35 third through sixth grade students will be accepted.

Rehearsals will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from Feb. 23 to April 23 with dress rehearsals set for 6 to 9 p.m. April 27 to 30.

The show will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, and 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2.
