A red, white and blue Valentine’s Day in Waubeka

The National Flag Day Foundation celebrated its accomplishments and raised money for its ongoing efforts to observe and promote Flag Day during its annual Valentine Dinner and Auction at the Americanism Center in Waubeka Saturday, Feb. 11. Among the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Outstanding Team Leaders Award to Evie and Rich Rathke (top left photo). Doing the honors was Foundation President David Janik (right). Jessie Schoessow (top right photo) sang the national anthem while local Boy Scouts presented the American flag (bottom left). The silent auction had something to interest just about everybody and the event also featured a live auction.     Photos by Sam Arendt
