Reception set for new exhibit at museum

A reception for “Hide and Seek,” the new exhibit at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts in Cedarburg, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The reception will run from 4 to 6 p.m.

The exhibit is the museum’s fifth fiber arts biennial and runs through January.

Wisconsin artists were asked to submit two or three-dimensional art that illustrates the theme of hide and seek. Possible ways to do that are with hidden messages, obscured imagery, something revealed or something concealed, a small mend or slight alterations.

The museum at N50 W 5050 Portland Rd. is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
