PW Garden Club sale draws a crowd eager to get planting

A crowd of gardeners with carts of all sizes in tow evidently found what they were looking for at the Port Washington Garden Club’s annual plant sale on Grand Avenue on May 23. Among those helping to organize the event were (from left in above photo) Rita Gregory Chase, Kathy O’Sullivan-Feilen and Kathy Westphal. Proceeds from the event support Garden Club activities that include community plantings, annual donations of gardening books to the W.J. Niederkorn Library and two scholarships awarded annually to students pursuing horticultural studies. Photos by Sam Arendt
