Property owner moves RV, avoids fines
A trailer in which Town of Belgium officials had suspected someone was living has been moved and the property owner will not be fined.
Zoning Administrator Charlie Parks said on Monday that he contacted Dennis Dahm at 2046 Jay Road and was told the plan was to remove the trailer and scrap it this spring.
Town Chairman Tom Winker and Supr. Tom Bichler said they noticed that the trailer has been removed.
“It’s nice we can communicate on a level where we don’t have to threaten one another,” Winker said.
“It’s always good just to talk to each other,” Parks said.
The property already has a house on it. and only one residence is allowed, according to town ordinances.
