Port middle school is off to see the Wizard

The Thomas Jefferson Middle School cast of “The Wizard of Oz” is ready to take the stage — a new stage this year at the Port Washington High School Performing Arts Center —  for shows at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. Taking center stage during a rehearsal last weekend were (standing, from left) Kira Sova as the Lion, Claudia Ryder as the Scarecrow, Gillian Kulig as Dorothy, Isabella Schmitz as the Tim Man and (front) Payton Wysocki as Toto. Kneeling to the left was Lillian Merow, who plays Glinda, while on the right was Annastasia Wischki, who plays the Wicked Witch. Tickets are $6 or $10 for premium seats. Online sales at www.hometowntickets.com close at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, but tickets will be available at the door. The Port High Performing Arts Center is at 427 W.
