Port High goes retro for homecoming

Harkening to the 1970s, Port Washington High School is celebrating a disco-themed homecoming this week. Representing their classes on the homecoming court are (front row, from left) Sam Pasten, Madison Myers, Nina Martinez-Lopez, Cal Loose, Brynn Nelson, (middle row) Connor Cowen, Maggie Sheriff, Sydney Garthus, Lily Weyker, Gino Feciskonin, Lydia Weyker, (back row) Diego Armendariz, Lillian Merow, Josh Arnold, Ryan Burmesch and Casey Arendt. The week of festivities kicked off Sunday, Oct. 2, with the traditional powderpuff football tournament and will continue Friday, Oct. 7, with the downtown parade at 4:15 p.m. followed by a community tailgate party at the school and football game at 7 p.m. The dance will be Saturday in the school cafeteria, with grand march at 9 p.m.
