Port couple lead United Way effort to raise $500K

Port Washington Ald. Dan Benning and his wife Lynn Benning are the honorary co-chairmen for the 2024-25 United Way of Northern Ozaukee  campaign, which this year aims to raise $500,000.

While this is the same amount raised by last year’s campaign, that goal may be more difficult to achieve, United Way Executive Director Barbara Bates-Nelson said.

“With the economy being what it is and with the election, I think people are being cautious with their money,” she said.
