Poppies given out Friday

Saukville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 470 is encouraging community members to honor the United State’s fallen warriors Friday, May 27, on National Poppy Day.

The Flanders Fields poppies are a symbol of the lives sacrificed in war. Wearing them honors the United State’s fallen warriors.

Legion and Legion Auxiliary members will be distributing poppies for donations at the Landt-Thiel Post, 601 W. Dekora St.

Donations will be used by the Legion to support veteran needs. Those visiting the post are welcome to visit the Legion’s tent or pick up poppies in a drive through.
