Pirates to play on

Several Port Washington High School seniors recently signed letters of intent to participate in college athletics. They included (from top photo down) Sophia Shaub, who will dance at Alma College in Alma, Mich. Shaub (center) was joined by (from left) her grandmother Kathy Boerschig, mother Jennifer, sister Abby and grandfather Robert Boerschig. Victoria Del Angel Cano will play Division 3 soccer at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. She was joined by her stepfather Jorge Reyes, her friend Brooke Peiffer and mother Elizabeth Cano Tamez. Eamonn Tetzlaff will play basketball for St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. St. Ambrose competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Last season, Tetzlaff averaged 10.1 points per game on 48.2% shooting. He had 3.5 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game. He was joined by his father Eric, an assistant basketball coach at Port, and mother Cathy Fitzgerald.
