Pandemic can’t throw a wrench in auto club’s generosity
Even though its car show was canceled last year because of the pandemic, the Cedarburg-based Rods-N-Relics car club continued its tradition of donating to area high school automotive programs when its members visited Port Washington High School recently to present $2,000 worth of tools. Sponsors of last year’s canceled event allowed the club to keep the money so it could continue supporting automotive education. At Port High with some of the tools were (front row, from left) club members Glenn Wille, Tom Wittenberg and Don Everix, students Kaden Kopp, Emma Arndt and Jacob Meier, club member John Oates, (back row) students Brandon Haas and Max Tominsek, teacher Nick Havlik, and students Tyler Cox and Josh Meier. This year’s Rods-n-Relics Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, in Grafton’s Lime Kiln Park. It will be the club’s 30th show.
