Opening of apartments signals more progress in Gateway development

Providing yet another indication that the sprawling Northern Gateway Community Collective development on Saukville’s east side is quickly taking shape, representatives of the Milwaukee-based Three Leaf Partners and Ansay Development Corp. of Port Washington cut a ribbon last week to signal the completion of the first building of The Daniels apartment complex seen in the background. Doing the honors were (front row, from left) Three Leaf Partners representatives Sarah Gasper, Mary Kay Bradford, Nick Bickler, Derek Taylor and Jessica Ganther, Ansay Design Construction Manager Ian McCain, Village of Saukville Trustee Jim Nowlen, Ansay Director Kate Ansay, (back row) Three Leaf representatives Kim Teske, Ben Streckert, Joe Stanton and John Ford, Ansay Development President Mike Ansay and Village President Andy Hebein. The apartment complex, which will consist of five 23-unit buildings when completed, is intended in part to provide housing for people who work in the Northern Gateway Community Collective at businesses that include American Orthodontics, which has essentially completed construction of a large facility in the development, and Gateway Sports Academy, which recently broke ground for a facility that is expected to draw tens of thousands of players and spectators annually.  Photo by Sam Arendt
