Newburg parade to close Hwy. Y June 1

Highway Y will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, from Highway 33 to Singing Hill Road to allow for the annual Newburg Firemen’s Parade.

The parade is part of the annual Village of Newburg’s Firemen’s Picnic. The closure has been approved by Ozaukee County, Town of Saukville and the village.

Singing Hill Road will be designated as a detour route.

The Newburg Firemen’s Picnic will be held May 30 through June 1. The picnic includes carnival rides, a kids’ fishing derby,  a miniature bowling tournament, bands, foods and games.
