New app gives access to village ordinances
Do you need information on getting a dog license, building a garage or parking restrictions in the Village of Fredonia?
Now there’s an app for that.
The village recently created an app that can be used on Apple or Android devices to access village ordinances.
The app was created as part of the village’s recodification process that concluded earlier this year.
“The process simplified the code, and the app helps make it more available to everybody,” Village Trustee Richard Abegglen said.
Abegglen is the chairman of the village Technology Committee.
The app can be found in a phone’s app store by searching for “eCode Search” and typing in the village’s postal code, 53021.
Key words such as fence, shed, dog, parking can be used to search the ordinances.
Other municipalities’ ordinances, in-cluding in the villages of Saukville and Grafton, also are accessible through an app.
