Native trees to be distributed April 25
A native tree giveaway will be held at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25.
The saplings available will include bur oak, swamp white oak and red oak, red maple, arrowwood viburnum, black chokeberry, American filbert, eastern redbud and American plum.
The giveaway will continue while supplies last.
Those attending are asked to bring a bag for their sapling.
Throughout the event, the 27-minute documentary “Beyond Our Senses: Bank Swallows” will be shown.
The library is at 316 W. Grand Ave.
The giveaway is sponsored by the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory and Niederkorn Library.
