Moonlight Meltdown helps equip new fire department truck

The seventh annual Moonlight Meltdown 5-kilometer and 10K run and walk donated $1,000 of its proceeds to the Belgium Fire Department, which used the money for equipment on its new fire truck. The annual event is run by the Snow Runners Ltd. snowmobile club of Port Washington and the Belgium Fire and Rescue Department (above). The event included food, drinks, music, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle at Kyote’s Bar and Grill in Belgium. Other proceeds go toward maintaining snowmobile trails in Ozaukee County.
