Milwaukee dealership to store vehicles in village

The owner of three Milwaukee car dealerships will store vehicles in Saukville after the village Community Development Authority recently approved a plan to do so.

According to the application reviewed and approved by the committee on Sept. 1, Schlossmann Automotive Group will store vehicles in a 7,500-square-foot building at 668 N. Progress Dr.

Cars will not be sold from the location, only housed there on a “long-term basis,” according to the application.

Vehicles will not be moved in and out of the building regularly, there will be no outdoor storage and there are no plans to have employees at the location, the application stated.

The company owns three car dealerships in Milwaukee, Greenfield and Brookfield.

Asked why the company chose Saukville to store cars, owner, Brad Schlossmann said it was because of the relative safety of Saukville.

“You have a very safe community,” he said.
