Making winter camp fun even without snow or ice
Snowshoeing and ice fishing are usually on the agenda for the winter camp hosted by Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville, but not this year. Instead, mild weather that has brought neither snow nor ice to the area provided a nice day last week for Steff Merten, associate director of education, to teach campers how to roast bananas (right). Sampling the healthy treat was Ava Wolf (left). Photos by Sam Arendt
