Lions, students work together to brighten holiday spirits

Earlier this month, Fredonia Lions Club members stopped by Ozaukee Elementary School to pick up cards made by students and mailed by the club to 121 single senior citizens and other people in the area along with grocery gift cards to brighten their holidays. With her classmates holding up their cards, fourth-grader Devlyn Buechler presented her card to Fredonia Lions Club President Rick Shepherd (left) and Secretary Al Krier. In the back of the room were teacher Sara Zimdars (left) and Principal Lynn Kucharski. Photo by Sam Arendt
