LETTER: Walking with Shannon, fighting juvenile diabetes

To Ozaukee Press:

I want to thank everyone for all of the support given to me and my Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation One Walk team Stepping for Shannon.

Many attended the fundraiser at Tello’s to enjoy a good meal and purchase raffle tickets for our awesome donated prizes. Some joined us at Advantage Auto for a bake sale. Others made personal donations to our walk team, prayed for me, came to the walk with me on Sept. 15 to help me continue to fight for a cure.

It means so much to me that everyone is so willing to help benefit not only me but millions of others with the same autoimmune disease. With all of your help, we raised $5,470, and over $70,000 for JDRF in my 15 years participating. That is absolutely amazing and I could not thank you more All of your help leads to better lives for type one diabetics like me and a step closer to a cure each day.
