LETTER: There’s room in Democrat tent for disillusioned Republicans

To Ozaukee Press:

The Democratic Party of Ozaukee County would like to welcome all those Republicans who are disillusioned or just plain disgusted with their party.

Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz will be voting for Kamala Harris this November, and we thank them for their support. Also, over 100 ex-Republican officials and 10 top military generals and admirals are also voting for Harris. But why stop there? We can probably agree on the problems our county and state have but disagree on the solutions. However, through conversations we can find solutions.

We have great candidates who want to serve us. In Ozaukee County, we are asking everyone to vote for Jodi Habush Sinykin for the state Senate and Dana Glasstien and Jack Holzman for the Assembly.

These are people who have enough of government only serving the rich and powerful. “We the people” need to take back our government and make it more inclusive so that even Republicans can feel included in the Democratic tent.
