LETTER: Taylor and Riemer are good court, school board choices

To Ozaukee Press:

I have looked at the record and experience of both of the candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court justice in the April 7 election.

A judge, especially a state Supreme Court justice, should be non-biased going into each court case before them. When it comes to who would make fair and non-partial decisions, Maria Lazar would be that justice.

Chris Taylor has the endorsement of four of the presently sitting justices, all of whom vote together with a more liberal bias. Maria Lazar could be trusted to view all the facts, look at the laws and make a non-biased decision based on what was presented to the court.

After looking at the qualifications of the candidates for the Port Washington-Saukville School Board, Matt Riemer would be an excellent choice to be elected to serve on the board.  Mr. Riemer has three children in Port Washington-Saukville School District schools. He has a vested interest in the quality of public school education here. He also has a business background and can see the importance of an education that prepares students for the careers they might want to pursue.

Mr. Riemer would be the person to ensure that quality education provided to our students is always a top priority of our School Board.
