LETTER: Stiff fines are needed to put a stop to ‘mischievous honking’

To Ozaukee Press:

Twice within the last 30 days, unthinking drivers have intentionally blasted their horns at me as I’ve ridden my bike on local country roads. I doubt they know the danger their actions pose to those of us simply getting some exercise on a summer day.          

The State of Wisconsin poses fines for people who find hilarity in honking a horn in a work zone. People are caught off guard, frightened and possibly harmed.          

We know “fines are doubled in work zones” where workers are standing firmly on the ground.
