LETTER: Seminar inspired gardeners

The Port Washington Garden Club held its annual Green Up your Winter Blues gardening seminar on Jan. 14. Gardeners from Ozaukee and Washington counties were inspired with lectures, a panel discussion and multiple workshops to help them prepare for the coming season in the garden

     Thanks to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church for hosting the event, providing us with excellent lecture, lunch and workshop facilities. Thanks, as well, to the Ozaukee Press for getting the notice of the seminar out to its reading audience.

The day could not have been a success without the contributions of the Garden Club’s membership, providing food and support for the lectures and workshops. As has become the club’s practice, half of our proceeds have been donated to the Food Pantry.
