LETTER: Private funds an option if board denies clerk’s legal fees claim

To Ozaukee Press:

Ozaukee County Circuit Judge Voiland’s mischief regarding the accusations he directed at his court system colleagues has taken an unexpected turn. Now that his charges have been found to be without merit, it is sad that Mueller’s request for reimbursement for legal fees from the county could drive a wedge between the clerk of courts and the County Board.

If the County Board decides to reject the request for payment of legal fees because of the precedent that it would set, then it might be appropriate to establish a fund to help Mueller with private contributions.

Voiland’s supporters in the last election might like to lead the way with their contributions.
