LETTER: Peaceful demonstration is just as much a right as carrying gun

To Ozaukee Press:
    It was distressing to have read in Ozaukee Press that Kirsten Johnson and her colleagues in the Washington Ozaukee Health Department are receiving nasty and threatening contacts regarding their health care efforts. It is thoughtless in the extreme to attempt to frighten these good people, even though I suspect they will not wilt under these attacks.
    Now we read that peaceful demonstrators are threatened by gun-carrying people. We as a society need to remember that peaceful demonstration is just as much a right as carrying a gun.
    Let us not descend further into an excessively polarized society; it will diminish us as a nation.
