LETTER: Pardon reveals hypocrisy of Biden on guns and wealth

To Ozaukee Press:

     For years we listened to Joe Biden and his supporters tell us we need more gun laws to keep guns from bad people, more background checks. But when his son Hunter gets caught lying on a federal background check form (he’s a self-proclaimed “very smart lawyer” and it’s an easy-to-understand form) he gets a pardon.

     Keeping handguns away from drug addicts is a good idea, their behavior can be uncontrollable and paranoid, both bad qualities for gun possession.

     The rich must pay their fair share is another rant we heard repeatedly. Hunter owed $1.4 million in taxes for two years income. Sounds like he’s rich to me. When  he finally did file for those years , the returns were blatantly false, but that’s OK because there’s a pardon in his future.

     Neither of his convictions would have likely had a prison sentence, probably fines and probation, but we’ll never know because he’s been unburdened from his past.
