LETTER: Offensive T-shirts at fair were sign of loss of respect, decency
To Ozaukee Press:
I strongly agree with and commend Amanda Sherman of Mequon for her letter to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press concerning the highly offensive booth featuring a T-shirt and sign that said “Joe and the Hoe Gotta Go” at this year’s Ozaukee County Fair.
Certainly, families and children should not be subjected to such lack of respect and lack of common decency.
Even though we have been through a few tough years, there is no reason to express differing viewpoints with such offensive sayings.
And who knows, if we treat each other with respect for our differing opinions, perhaps our political candidates will adopt the same as they express their conflicting viewpoints.
