LETTER: Leider delivered on EMS and roads, should be re-elected
To Ozaukee Press:
As a lifelong resident of the
Town of Fredonia, it has been my honor to serve for 20-plus years on the Town Board, and the one constant for the entire time was serving with my friends and colleagues Lance Leider and Chris Janik. This will change now as they are both running for town chairman and there can be only one winner.
I wish them both luck, but as I have told my friend Chris, I am supporting Lance Leider for chairman, as we both did in the last election.
I believe the job of a chairman is to advance the town and deliver for the taxpayers, and Lance has done that. He led on the paramedic agreement between the northern townships and villages to deliver 24/7 emergency services to the town and saved the town many thousands of dollars with shrew negotiations of the contract. Lance’s hard work also delivered a $1.8 million grant to repair the worst road in the township that will make it the best road in the town with 90% of the cost paid by the state. This project will take the next two years to finish and I believe the job should go to the man who enabled it.
So I ask town voters to re-elect Lance Leider town chairman.
