It is breathtaking that the state Legislature feels it has expertise regarding how to teach reading with its effort to require phonics-based teaching.

Will they try chemistry next?

Then we learn that the Legislature feels there should not be licensing of school superintendents.

Really? What profession is next, doctors and teachers.
