LETTER: Knodl ignores constituents, dishonors his oath of office

To Ozaukee Press:

Citizens who live in the 24th Assembly District have been very poorly served by Dan Knodl for the past 14 years. He has never had the time to respond to any concern I have brought to his office as a constituent.

He has had time to author bills to benefit his own tavern business. He has had time to sign a letter asking then Vice President Mike Pence to break the law and help overthrow a lawful election by not certifying the results on Jan. 6, 2021. He has time to make private medical decisions for strangers and opposes repealing Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban. He has not advocated for the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust and the creation of the Cedar Gorge Clay Bluffs park in our community; instead he endorses the secret back room deals that canceled a DNR grant.

He does not respect his constituents and does not honor his oath of office. He does not deserve another term.

I am enthusiastically supporting his opponent, Bob Tatterson. Bob is a business leader with the knowledge and experience to build a more prosperous future for all of us. Bob supports our civic institutions like the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust; he understands the value and importance of parks for our communities and families. Bob understands that medical decisions like abortion and birth control are private decisions for patients and their physicians; he supports repealing the 1849 abortion ban.

Bob Tatterson is honest and supports transparency and accountability in government. I encourage all voters to visit Bob Tatterson’s website to learn more about him.
