LETTER: Inflation is down, wages up, good economy can’t be denied
To Ozaukee Press:
It’s unfortunate that many Americans seem to be in denial about the state of the economy. In a nation as vast as the U.S., there will always be winners and losers, which means it’s essential for voters to consider where we are headed as a nation.
Despite wild claims, the country is not in dire straits. Crime rates are declining, life expectancy is increasing, inflation is decreasing, wages are rising and the stock market is soaring. Manufacturing is coming back to the U.S.
A notable example of where we are going is the forthcoming $3.3 billion
Microsoft AI development center in Kenosha, supported by the efforts of the
Evers and Biden administrations. This project is set to attract more tech investment and cultivate local talent straight out of high schools.
Last week, The Economist, a respected publication, referred to the American economy as “the envy of the world.”
Why wouldn’t we want to support this positive momentum?
