LETTER: History shows Democrats, not Republicans, are true racists

To Ozaukee Press:

Just want to set it straight for all the Democrats and media that call Trump and his followers racists.

President Lincoln, a Republican went to war to free the slaves, because he believed everyone should be free. The southern Democrats fought to keep slaves.  

The KKK was founded by Democrats.

The civil rights legislation signed by President Johnson was supported by 80% of the Republicans and 60% of the Democrats.  

So which is the racist party?  

Somehow the Democrats have persuaded the people who stand with them that they are not the racist party. They go against Trump, who did more for minorities than any other president.  

If you check out Biden, you will see he said many racist things in the past, and really, what did he accomplish for the minorities?

Trump and the conservatives want everyone to succeed no matter what race or gender you are. That is the American way.
