LETTER: Federal chaos makes it look like ‘stumblebums’ in charge
To Ozaukee Press:
As this is written, the stock market is down, the president’s new tariffs are in place and the huge cuts to government agencies are underway.
We have learned that two different island groups have been assigned 10% tariffs; however, they have no people on them, so it is unlikely any products will be shipped to the United States from those settings.
People are being sent to foreign jails without trials. Judges, colleges, law firms, government agencies and schools are receiving unthoughtful directives. Then sometimes they are reversed.
If my dad was still alive, he might have invoked the work “stumblebums” to describe those who make these decisions.
